All standard school levels, all ages

If your child struggles with maths you are not alone…

…It is far more common than you would expect. Here in the UK in 2021 government statistics suggest that 49% of working-age adults, or 17 million, have the numeracy level expected of primary school children. Maths is part of everyday life, yet in the Western world students are either really good or really struggle with maths. (Source: FE WEEK)

About Me

I grew up in Leningrad (St Petersburg), USSR (Russia), with mathematics deeply ingrained in my upbringing, thanks to my parents, who were professors of pure mathematics.

My formal education led me to Engineering, earning an MA in Leningrad in 1982 and a PhD at Edinburgh University, UK, in 1996.

My educational journey included attending my father’s advanced maths weekly lectures for two years in Leningrad, and Professor Reese’s maths weekly lectures at Edinburgh University, UK, for one year.

Throughout my career, I led and contributed to Engineering research projects in both the USSR and the UK, applying my mathematical insight to solve complex engineering problems. Notably, one of my UK research projects, supported by EPSRC, DTI, MoD, and several UK industrial partners, received international recognition for its research achievements.

My distinct approach to teaching children maths draws from my exceptional maths education, coupled with vast engineering experience and deep knowledge of educational psychology.

With over 30 years of research and teaching experience in the UK, I’ve developed

🧠+💜Brain to Maths

a teaching approach and software designed to help children grasp maths concepts more easily than with traditional Maths to Brain teaching method. This approach allows them to enjoy learning maths and unlock their true potential in the subject.
